Time for my Artist Date.
My date was to be, me by myself, but since I was thinking of going to the mountains I decided to bring Mr. Buddy along. Packed my bag, art journal, paints, brushes, camera, new macro lens, waters, extra clothes, rain coat, and first aid kit (maybe overkill but I am a bit clumsy so one can never be too careful). Buddy and I started the day off by grabbing some goodies Green Machine, Beef Jerky, and Sweet Peas for me and doggy treats for Buddy. We set out with-out a destination, midway south on I-25 the mission was Golden or maybe Johns Town but when my Jeep decided to take 36 and our plans changed. Off to Boulder- ish we went. I was thinking hmmm maybe Lyons...... but then my Jeep then again chose a different path. We took the Superior Exit and then onto 170. I did drive by the coolest house on my way back to 170 (when I, not my Jeep took a wrong turn). We tried several trail heads but found them all full. So what else was there to do other than go to the end of the road which led us to Eldorado Canyon State Park. $8.00 later we were on a mission to find a parking space. Wow the mud was crazy but who would have expected such a beautiful day so early in March. We walked, took pictures, ate our snacks and came back home. Oh wait I did swing by the store to pick up some photo paper and a canvas. :) Below is a sampling of my favorite pictures.
